My Review of City Lash Lash Growth Enhancer

City Lash is one of the most popular eyelash conditioners at the moment – and for good reason. It contains no parabens nor prostaglandins, which means it doesn’t have any of the side effects of prostaglandin-containing products like permanent color changes in your eyes and skin as well as irritation or redness.

Instead of using prostaglandin-containing ingredients to lengthen and thicken lashes, City Lash contains Myristoyl Pentapeptide-17, which is one of the most effective ingredients for longer, thicker lashes. This ingredient has been clinically proven to stimulate keratin production at a cellular level to promote eyelash growth, with an average increase rate of 54%. And City Lash is one of the very few eyelash conditioners on the market that uses Myristoyl Pentapeptide-17 in the concentration it requires to be effective.

The result is both the growth of new, longer, thicker eyelashes as well as an extension of the natural life cycle of the eyelash so that older lashes remain and new lashes grow in at the same time resulting in the sort of dramatically fuller, longer eyelashes that is usually only possible with prostaglandin-containing eyelash growth products.

My Review of City Lash

I was pretty excited to try City Lash, mainly for its unique formula containing Myristoyl Pentapeptide-17, which I read could produce eyelash growth that was almost as impressive as prostaglandin-containing lash serums like Latisse and GrandeLash.  Added to that the fact that City Lash wouldn’t have any of the side effects of prostaglandin-containing lash serums and I was eager to give it a try.

And overall, I am fairly happy with this eyelash conditioner. The good thing about City Lash is that it actually works – and better than I expected a lash conditioner (without prostaglandins) to work. It took a long time – close to two months – but my lashes did grow noticeable longer, although the thickness did not compare to what I got from GrandeLash (a prostaglandin-containing lash serum).

The only reason I am not exhilarated about this product is that although it does do what it promises to – give you much longer lashes – it also burned my eyes a little when I applied it, which is something I never experienced even with prostaglandin-containing lash serums. It was a slight burn, but still uncomfortable, even though it went away as soon as the serum dried (it dries pretty quickly).

My eyes are a little sensitive, so the burning feeling might not apply to everyone. Still, if you have sensitive eyes, this product – ‘though effective – is probably not the best choice for you.

On the other hand, if you’re looking for an eyelash conditioner that produces visibly longer, fuller lashes without the skin and eye darkening side effects of prostaglandin – then City Lash is definitely worth a try. You can get it now for $82.90.
