Today, I will provide my full review and experience with Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine cream.

Elemis is a London-based company that was founded in 1989 (they have been around for over 30 years at the time of writing). They describe themselves as “a skin wellness brand with an aromatherapist’s soul, an artist’s spirit, and a scientist’s commitment to results.” They have a wide array of skin care products and solutions to everyday skin maladies.

When it comes to choosing a skincare product, ingredients are very important. It is not enough to simply claim that Elemis Marine Cream provides anti-wrinkle and anti-aging results – let’s dig into the full ingredient list (as of October 2022 – Elemis notes that the ingredients may change from time to time and that an up-to-date list can be found on product packaging).

We’ve seen that Elemis Marine Cream contains a potent mixture of powerful ingredients including anti-oxidants, vitamins, and plant extracts. Yet, how long do you need to use this cream before you see noticeable changes in your skin?
Elemis advertises that you will see younger-looking skin in 2 weeks. Their claim is based on a clinical trial from 2021 that included 38 people and 4 weeks of product usage. They also performed independent user trials in 2017 with results based on 120 people over 4 weeks.
One hundred percent of participants in the user trial agreed that this product gave their skin an immediate improvement in hydration. And, 95% agreed that this product was the best anti-aging cream they had ever used.
My experience with Elemis Pro-Collagen marine cream echoes a very similar timeline to their claims. I started noticing small improvements in around a week of use (my skin was noticeably more moisturized and looked healthier overall). At the 2-3 week mark, I was seeing fewer fine lines and my skin looked much smoother and firmer overall. One thing I really like about the cream is how light and non-greasy it was on my skin.
How Much Does Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream Cost?
Price is an important factor when choosing a cream that is used daily. This cream from Elemis runs about $105 for 1.6oz or $180 for a 3.3oz jar. This sounds expensive on the surface, but a small amount goes a long way. A single jar can easily last 4-6 months when used daily.

How To Use Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream
Like most skin creams, the application of Elemis Marine Cream is fairly straightforward.
Elemis details that it should be used every morning after cleansing and provides 2-step application instructions:
- Warm a pea-sized amount between palms
- Gently smooth over the face, neck, and décolleté (low neckline) in upward strokes.
The Verdict
If you are looking for a daily cream to help prevent wrinkles and reduce the appearance of fine lines Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream might be the cream you have been looking for.
I noticed large improvements in the appearance of my skin after a few weeks of daily use. The fine lines and wrinkles disappeared and my skin felt much more hydrated. The cream is pricey but a little bit goes a long way (you need to use about a pea-sized amount each day).
The only thing I disliked was the scent – I much prefer unscented moisturizers and face creams. The smell isn’t unpleasant by any means but it does linger. So if you are very sensitive to scents you may want to choose something else for your anti-aging cream.
